The perfect virus immunization for your computer – Part 1 – Kaspersky Internet Security

I will start a series of posts to review a number of products that I found very help for personal computer protection. There are thousand for security products that claims to be give your computer the best protection.

Kaspersky Internet Security:

Kaspersky is the best Internet Protection Suit I’ve tried so far. I will list the thing advantages and the disadvantages for it so it can be easy to evaluate:

Advantages:

A. Fast updates: fast have two meanings here. Kaspersky virus definitions files are very small. You won’t notice that it updated its definitions. Also, the frequency of updating their definitions.

B. Memory friendly: Most people don’t use antivirus because it’s memory consuming. The load of the antivirus is a key factor to its success and Kaspersky labs did a great job with memory management.
C. Impressive Threat Detection: Kaspersky can detect the threat from all known sources: External Storage, Emails, Network
D. So many options: These features include scan for Files, Mail, Web, Application Behavior, Firewall and Parental Control (Web Filtering).
E. Fair Price: 60 $ for a single year license. Personally, I consider this a very good price.

Disadvantages:

In my opinion, the disadvantage for this product is the training mode. After you install the antivirus, it requires training to set the trusted applications and DLLs and there access. This requires advanced knowledge of what’s going on the computer and it will cause some headaches. But after the training mode finishes, everything goes back to normal.

Also, Kaspersky Internet Security Firewall will consider Google Ads a malicious code and it will block the Ads on all the sites but again this problem can be solved.

Please add your comments and your experience if you have tried this product.
