The perfect virus immunization for your computer – Part 2 – Spyware Doctor

Spyware Doctor

I consider Spyware Doctor the most powerful against spyware, tracking cookies and suspicious applications I’ve tried so far. Too many things make this tool a frontline for defeating threats.

Advantages:

A. Excellent Threat Detection: Spyware Doctor is very effective against spyware, malware and tracking cookies. The good thing about this tool is that it installs itself as a Windows service and checks every single file from startup to shutdown. The OnGuard feature give this tool extra power for detecting threats from Browsers, Cookies, KeyLoggers, Networks and Malicious applications.

B. Fast online updates: Spyware Doctor update itself frequently during the day with new spyware definitions.

C. Easy to use: Spyware Doctor’s main screen and controls are well-designed, allowing easy navigation. We found features like Scanning, Immunization, and Active Protection with little effort.

D. Fast Scanning: this tool is very fast with scanning files and registry. It will take only short time on a decent computer to scan all the system files and registry keys.

E. Good Price: Spyware Doctor Price is 29.95 $ for a single computer. It a really good value for such a product.

Disadvantages:

A. Memory Consuming: Since Spyware doctor is scanning every single file and process on the computer, the user will notice that the performance of the machine is slowing down.

B. Gets damaged by some threats: Personally I was using Spyware Doctor when I got the W32.Gammima.AG. This is a very dangerous threat spreads via P2P applications. However, the first thing that Worm did is to disable Spyware Doctor and Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition v10. But again Spyware Doctor was able to detect the Worm name and the infected files.
